Mersea Island is a small costal community only 15 minutes drive from Colchester Town train station. The rugby club is located at the Glebe recreation ground in West Mersea, which is also home to a Cricket club, Tennis club, and two football clubs.

Formed in 1989, Mersea Island now has a full youth section from U6s all the way through to Colts, and a fantastic amount of local support for the senior men's team.

Touch rugby runs on Mondays at 7pm until 30th June, with preseason proper starting on Thursday 3rd July. Trainings are every Thursday thereafter, with additional training every other Tuesday, which is concurrent with our Colts team.

The 1st XV play in the RFU level 8 Counties 2 Eastern Counties, or London 3 in the old money, whereas our 2nd XV play in Eastern Counties South 2 (Level 10). The benefits to our members include:
